Katherine Scarrow (‘07) has recently joined the Globe and Mail as an editor. Scarrow writes, edits and packages multimedia content for “Report on Business” and “Globe Investor.”
She also hosts discussions and produces video for the “Personal Finance,” “Your Business” and “Technology” sections of the website.
Before joining the Globe, Katherine worked as a news editor at Yahoo! Canada, where she programmed content and led the editorial department’s social media strategy. During the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver, she blogged and produced videos for Yahoo! Sports, the number one sports site in North America.
Kat graduated from Huron University College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts, English Literature and Languages and obtained her Masters in 2007 at the UBC School of Journalism, where she received a graduate entrance scholarship.
During her studies, she interned in the office of the Spokesman for the Secretary-General at the United Nations, and at the CBC radio show As It Happens.
In her spare time, Katherine is the co-chair of communications for the Royal Ontario Museum’s Young Patrons’ Circle and sits on the Huron Alumni board.
