Join UBC journalism professor Alfred Hermida on Oct. 6 for a panel discussion at W2 in Vancouver on one of the major trends in media-making, crowdsourcing.
The event, “Harnessing The Crowd: The Evolving Crowdsourcing/Collaboration/OpenEverything Continuum,” is part of the Fresh Media ReMixology series of talks. The events are designed to bring people together to sample and share ideas in discussions.
Together with Prof Hermida will be Leigh Christie, executive director and co-founder of the eatART foundation, and David Ascher, CEO of Mozilla Messaging.
The discussion takes place on Wednesday Oct. 6 at 6:30pm @ W2 Storyeum Salon, 151 West Cordova, Vancouver.
Tickets are available online, priced at $5 tickets or $10 for a “champion.”
