About
Gillian Saunders (she/her) is an Assistant Professor Without Review in UBC’s School of Journalism, Writing, and Media. Before coming to UBC, she worked at the writing centre at the University of Victoria for 12 years and taught courses in academic, business, and technical writing and English as an additional language in Canada and South Korea. Her PhD research investigated undergraduate students’ academic discourse socialization and experiences accessing academic writing supports, particularly writing centres, in Canadian higher education.
