Shared Bylines is hosting an informative and incisive panel featuring Michelle Cyca (The Narwhal/The Walrus), Kier Junos (CityNews Vancouver), Harrison Mooney (The Tyee/author) and Mel Woods (Xtra Magazine), with Ming Wong (The Globe and Mail) moderating.
There will be an informal meet-up with some complimentary apps and snacks (courtesy of Unifor) following the Q&A session after the panel. Students, mentors and alumni from the Shared Bylines cohorts, as well as newsroom staffers, union members, early career journos and other media professionals from Metro Vancouver are encouraged to attend.

Shared Bylines is a scholarship and mentorship program that aims to help BIPOC student journalists overcome barriers to entering the media industry by offering financial and professional support for those who have traditionally been underrepresented in Canadian media to allow them to succeed.
