Kim Ives to give public talk on “Wikileaks: Shedding Light on U.S. Policy in Haiti”



Kim Ives, the founding editor of the Haitian weekly newspaper Haiti Liberté, the host of a weekly Haiti show on WBAI-FM New York, and a filmmaker who has helped produce several documentaries about Haiti, will be giving a public presentation titled “Wikileaks: Shedding Light on U.S. Policy in Haiti” on Tuesday, January 31st, 2012 from 12:30-2:00 p.m. at the UBC Graduate School of Journalism.

He was lead writer and editor of a series of articles published in 2011 by Haiti Liberté and The Nation magazine about U.S. government policy in Haiti, which were based on U.S. diplomatic cables entrusted to the two publications by the Wikileaks organization.
